Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali on Saturday flagged off 5K Run for Diabetes Awareness organised by Lions Club International, District-320-B at Necklace Road (People’s Plaza) on Saturday. The main intention of the programme was to raise awareness about Type-1 Diabetes.

The Lions Club leaders, represented by District Governor Lion Syed Javed, Lion Vice-Governor P Mohan, Event Advisor Lion Vijay Kumar Setty, Chairman of Jalsa Lion Deepak Bhattacharjee, Lion N S Johar and Manoj (organiser) along with all past Lion District Governors took part in the event.
There was good response from the citizens and some 1,000 school and college students participated in the programme.
