Hyderabad: A patient in the Plastic Surgery Department at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences threatened to commit suicide on Friday morning by jumping from the old building.
The patient, identified as Pradeep, climbed to the terrace of the hospital and threatened jump from there, alleging that despite his requests, doctors in the Plastic Surgery Department were not providing him proper treatment.
He demanded that he be sent to America for better treatment. The NIMS staff, Punjagutta Police led by Sub-Inspector Lingareddy reached the spot.
The SI assured him that his demands would be fulfilled. With this promise, Pradeep came down from the building. Police took him into custody for counselling.
