Youth to run 240 km for Haritha Haram
The State’s prestigious Haritha Haram programme is being promoted on a grand scale and to up the notch, a youth B Tirupati had started a run from Hyderabad to Manthani to complete 240 Km.
Hyderabad: The State’s prestigious Haritha Haram programme is being promoted on a grand scale and to up the notch, a youth B Tirupati had started a run from Hyderabad to Manthani to complete 240 Km.
Former MP and Advisor to government G Vivek and Manthani MLA Putta Madhu flagged off the run on Saturday at Gun Park.
Earlier, Vivek and Madhu paid tributes to the martyrs at Gun Park. Speaking on the occasion, Vivek said the environment will be balanced with the Haritha Haram programme.
He called upon the youth to participate voluntarily in programme. Putta Madhu said they will plant one lakh saplings on July 31 as part of Haritha Haram and Tirupati had taken up the run to campaign about the programme.
Tirupati said he has taken up the run to give wide publicity to Haritha Haram launched by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He said he would reach Manthani within two days.
