Drug probe leads to friction twixt babu, boss
The ongoing probe into the drug menace has apparently widened the rift between the State Excise and Prohibition Commissioner R Chandravadan and Excise Minister T Padma Rao Goud.
The ongoing probe into the drug menace has apparently widened the rift between the State Excise and Prohibition Commissioner R Chandravadan and Excise Minister T Padma Rao Goud.
According to the Minister’s peshi grapevine, the IAS officer is neither keeping his boss posted about the decisions taken regarding the probe nor is he updating him with the latest developments, which have shaken Tollywood. The Minister is reportedly relying on inputs from his office staff and other sources to keep a tab.
Chandravadan has reportedly not informed Padma Rao about his recent meeting with Chief Secretary SP Singh on the same issue.
Sources clarify that the cold war between the official and the Minister has been going on for long. It has snowballed following the recent finalisation of bar tenders and mass transfers of Excise officials.
