Osmania University students take up protests over hostel eviction

With the Osmania University administration deciding to vacate the non-boarders from the hostels, students took up Raasta Rako protests and even cooked food on the roadside on Saturday night inside the campus.

This move by the students was followed after the officials cutting off the power and water supply in the hostels for the third time. The students, however stated that the legitimate hostlers are being affected in the process.

So far, 100 non-boarders have vacated and several others have been asked to do the same. With the academic classes commencing today, the officials want to speed up the process.
