Hyderabad: The BJP national leadership, which has been pinning hopes to get into power in Telangana by 2019, has prepared a road map and asked the State unit to follow them for achieving its goal.

The party’s national president Amit Shah has visited Telangana four times till now while 14 Central Ministers and several national general secretaries have visited the State and held discussions with the party leaders goes to show how serious the party is.
“I will not rest till the BJP’s presence in Telangana has been strengthened in every village and booth,” said Amit Shah in the organisational newsletter of the national party released by Telangana president K Laxman.
Amit Shah visited Telangana and stayed for three days in the State and he shared his experiences in the organisational newsletter. The party has prepared a road map giving responsibilities to the State unit and asked to adhere to it.
The party has asked the State leadership to classify the Assembly constituencies in the A, B and C. According to the BJP leaders, the A list would have fair winning chances, B with tough competition and C with need for improvement. Laxman said that the party leaders would strive for bringing the constituencies in C to B and from B to A.
Party sources said that the senior leaders would be given task of identifying horses for courses. One senior leader would be given the responsibility of the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Constituencies. Similarly, the other leaders would also be assigned the task of identifying candidates with good prospects. By the 2019 elections, the party wants to identify at least 50 such candidates so that their names can be announced well in advance for the elections.
In between, the national leaders would be visiting the State to know the situation on ground. Amit Shah would be reviewing the performance during his visit to the city in September. He would be dedicating his three days’ time from September 11 to 13 in Hyderabad, said the BJP leaders. Before that, party’s organisation secretary Saudhan Singh would be visiting the State during August.
Laxman said that the party would have two important programmes in September including the Liberation Day on September 17 and conclusion centenary birth celebrations of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on September 25.
From October onwards, the party would have polling booth level meetings and agitation programmes from November, he added. Replying to a question, Laxman said that it is the people of the State and not the Chief Minister who decides who would form next government in Telangana. He said that BJP is ruling in 18 States in the country after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister.
