​Hyderabad: The Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao instructed the officials concerned to implement roads policy constituted for the ST habitats from this year onwards.

Reacting to news reports that appeared in a section of media, regarding the hardships faced by people in remote Utnoor area of Adilabad district due to the lack of proper road network, the Chief Minister directed the officials to immediately start road construction works from Donga Chintha to Sonapur.

K Chandrashekar Rao wanted the road to be included in the first year road network works. He also wanted works of other roads in the ST habitats to begin immediately. Following the instructions of Chief Minister, CMO Special Secretary Bhoopal Reddy held a meeting with the Tribal Welfare Secretary Mahesh Dutt Ekka and Commissioner Laxman.

They discussed road network for 1,200 ST Habitats in the State. They have decided to have road network in 432 Habitats in the first year at a cost of Rs 250 crore. In the first phase at a cost of Rs 89 lakh, Donga Chintha-Sonapur road will be laid.
