Man rapes 15-year-old step-daughter, impregnates her
A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped and impregnated by her 40-year-old step-father in Hyderabad. The incident came to light last month when the mother of the girl took her to a hospital after she complained of stomach ache.

The doctor declared the minor girl to be four months pregnant. Upon questioning, the girl disclosed to her mother that her step-father Ramavath Thakur had been sexually assaulting her for the last six months.
The mother, Vijaya lodged a complaint with Tirmulgherry police against her husband. The victim even informed the police that her step-father would rape her repeatedly by stuffing clothes in her mouth and threatened her not to reveal the matter to anyone.
Following the death of her first husband, Vijaya married Ramavath Thakur 10 years back. The couple has a son and a daughter. The police registered a case under relevant sections of IPC and arrested the accused.
