Hyderabad: Minister for Scheduled Caste Development Department G Jagadish Reddy felicitated Poorna and Sri Vidya, students of TSWREIS (Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society), who successfully scaled the Europe’s highest mountain peak Mt Elbrus.
The Minister congratulated the young mountaineers for their bravery and making State proud by hoisting the Telangana’s flag on the top of the Mt Elbrus. Awards would be presented to the duo soon, the Minister said. Speaking on this occasion, the Minister congratulated the Secretary Dr R S Praveen Kumar,
Sports officer Sekhar Babu, Chief Coach, PDs and PETs for their hard work in producing the world class mountaineers and the sports champions. Dr R S Praveen Kumar thanked the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the Minister G Jagadish Reddy for their support to the cause of provision of quality education to the deprived children on par with the corporate institutions.
