Alleging that the SI had filed an illegal affair case with a thief against her, the woman even submitted a memorandum to Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy in this regard.
Following this, the Home Minister had directed the concerned police officials take departmental action against the SI. However, with no action taken against the SI, she attempted suicide at the DGP office by drinking phenyl.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital and her condition is said to be stable.
