Hyderabad police have cracked the case of the \'attack\' on Telangana Youth Congress leader Vikram Goud as they claimed that the conspiracy was hatched by the leader to harm himself in order to gain people\'s sympathy and grab a ticket for the 2019 legislative assembly elections.
Hyderabad police have cracked the case of the 'attack' on Telangana Youth Congress leader Vikram Goud as they claimed that the conspiracy was hatched by the leader to harm himself in order to gain people's sympathy and grab a ticket for the 2019 legislative assembly elections.
Goud was shot at his residence in Film Nagar, Hyderabad on July 28. Five persons were arrested who spilled the beans on the entire conspiracy. Police stated that he wanted everyone to believe that the act was committed by his political rivals.
While the entire plan was hatched before, Goud's wife Shipali M lodged a complaint to the police after hearing the gunshots and witnessed her husband lying with bullet wounds.
Based on the complaint, the police had registered a case of attempt to murder. But during the investigation, the police found out that Goud had hatched the plan.
Vikram Goud, who is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital and eight others have been booked on relevant sections of IPC besides the Arms Act.
The police would arrest Goud once he gets discharged from the hospital.
