Hyderabad: Alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was trying to see there would not be any Opposition in the country, former MP and senior Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao said the people were watching Modi’s style of functioning and would teach him a fitting lesson.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, Hanumanth Rao stressed on the unity of secular parties in the nation. He said wise people would also teach a fitting lesson to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was hobnobbing with Modi.

Alleging that the Chandrashekar Rao government was suppressing Dalits, Backward Classes and Minorities, Rao asked the government whether sand was important to him than Dalits. He dared the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders to come to Sircilla and know the facts.

Reacting on the removal of Digvijay Singh as AICC general secretary in-charge of Telangana, Hanumanth Rao said he didn’t know about the development. “I opposed Digvijay on some issues in the past and informed the same to AICC. I think the AICC removed Digvijay as the latter taking up padayatra in Madhya Pradesh,” he said.
