CM is misleading people on GST: BJP
Telangana BJP president Dr. K.Lakshman has accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of misleading the people on the issue of Goods & Services Tax (GST).
Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Dr. K.Lakshman has accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of misleading the people on the issue of Goods & Services Tax (GST).
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Lakshman said that the Centre did not take any unilateral decision on GST. He said Telangana's Finance Minister Etela Rajender and IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao were part and parcel of all decisions taken by the GST Council. He said that the decisions on GST were being implemented only after the approval of all States. Therefore, he said it was wrong on the part of KCR to object to decisions that were taken one month ago.
Lakshman alleged that KCR has been targeting the Centre over GST due to rising popularity of BJP in Telangana State. He asked KCR to explain that estimated losses to Telangana State due to the implementation of GST. He said that the BJP State unit would make necessary representations with the Centre to protect the interest of Telangana.
