Siddipet: The police claimed to have arrested two Naxalites belonging to CPI (ML) Janashakti group and recovered a pistol, a revolver and 16 rounds of bullets from them on Sunday.

The police identified the alleged Naxalites as Murthy Srinivas Reddy alias Yadanna, a resident of Gangapur village under Chinnakodur mandal, Vaartha, believed to be a resident of Mumbai.

They were arrested at Gangapur. Speaking to the media, Siddipet ACP Narasimha Reddy said the Janashakti group was planning to revive the party in Siddipet. Meanwhile, the Civil Liberties Committee had alleged that Yadanna was arrested long back. The Committee had in fact demanded that the arrested person be produced in the court.
