Karimnagar: Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar’s indefinite fast demanding establishment of a medical college entered third day on Monday.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Leader of Opposition in Council Shabbir Ali, TPCC Vice-President Mallu Ravi, Warangal DCCB chairman Janga Raghava Reddy and Youth Congress State president Anil Kumar Yadav were among others who visited the hunger strike venue and expressed their solidarity with Prabhakar.

Speaking on the occasion, Uttam Kumar Reddy demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao fulfil his promise of setting up a medical college in Karimnagar.

Meanwhile, Indian Medical Association leaders Dr Bhumi Reddy and Dr Suryanrayana Reddy, Vishwa Hindu Parishad district president V Radhakrishna Reddy and Arya Vysya Sangham leaders Madhusudhan, Santhosh and Rajender extended their support to the Congress leader.
