Aadhar compulsory for vehicle registration

Now, Aadhar number has been made compulsory for vehicle registration in Telangana.

Minister for Transport P Mahendar Reddy on Wednesday held a meeting with the transport department officials announcing the linking of owner's Aadhar number compulsory for the vehicle registration and transfer.

Mentioning that there are nearly 95 lakh vehicles in the state and large number of transfers of vehicle take place, the Minister said that making Aadhar compulsory for the registration and transfers would help track the vehicle properly.
