D Srinivas denies rejoining Congress
Putting to rest the speculations of leaving the party, TRS Rajya Sabha member and former PCC president D Srinivas on Friday said that there was no question of joining the Congress party again.
Hyderabad: Putting to rest the speculations of leaving the party, TRS Rajya Sabha member and former PCC president D Srinivas on Friday said that there was no question of joining the Congress party again.
Addressing a press conference here, D Srinivas ruled out leaving Telangana Rashtra Samithi as speculated by a section of the media. He said that there was no truth in the news that he was planning to shift loyalties. He said that some people, who were against him, were deliberately trying to create confusion and create a rift with TRS leaders.
He denied that he had met Congress president Sonia Gandhi. “Neither I have met the Congress leaders nor somebody from that party had met me. It is an attempt to damage my reputation,” said DS. Replying to a question,
Srinivas said that if the Congress leaders want me to join them, they should urge this through a press conference and he would reply to them accordingly. It was nothing but character assassination, he added.
He also said that he had clearly said that he was not going to join Congress party when such rumours did the rounds earlier also.
