Hyderabad: The State Junior Doctors Association (TJUDA), Osmania General Hospital wing has called off the strike here on Friday.Dr Srinivas, advisor to TJUDA and DrVijender Reddy, president, JUDA Osmania wing said that we have called off strike with the assurance of DrLaxma Reddy, Minister for Health.

Laxma Reddy serious over hospital higher officials for administration lapses to control the situation. Further, he assured that within two months the infrastructure would be installed at OGH and administration staff would be reshuffled for their negligence on day-to-day administration activities.

Earlier with the written assurance of Director of Medical Education Dr K Ramesh Reddy junior doctors called off strike. But some demands were not fulfilled. Thentalks were held between Health Minister and JUDA two times that resulted fruitful.

In the wake of attack by patient’s attendants in Intensive Care Unit at Osmania General Hospital, on three duty doctors on July 30. With this the junior doctors of OGH unit went on strike for two days. After the talks with and assurance from DME, strike called off.

But yet the police did not arrest the culprits and not fulfilling other demands junior doctors went on strike from July 9, demanding arrest of attackers, increase of Special Protection Force, strengthen the laws against assaults on doctors and action on Superintendent of OGH.
