Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has accused Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram of pursuing the agenda of Congress party.

He was addressing a press conference at TRS Legislature Party office on Saturday along with MLAs V. Prashant Reddy, Gampa Govardhan, Hanumanth Shinde and Jeevan Reddy.

Pocharam alleged that Kodandaram has been trying to stall irrigation projects in the garb of Amara Veerula Spoorthi Yatra. However, he said that the farmers of Telangana would foil Kodandaram's efforts and ensure timely completion of all projects. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has been striving hard to provide irrigation facilities to one crore acres of land to bring happiness in the lives of farmers. But Congress party and Kodandaram were not allowing this to happen.

The minister also alleged that crores of rupees of public money were swindled by the previous Congress regime in the name of irrigation projects. Today when TRS Govt is genuinely trying to construct the projects, Congress and TJAC chief were stalling the same.

Pocharam also informed that the State Government would also introduce a separate Agriculture Budget from the next financial year.
