KCR misusing police to repress Oppn: Shabbir
Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Mohd Shabbir Ali on Saturday decried that the TRS government has been using police force indiscriminately to repress the Opposition. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had ordered the arrest of hundreds of Congress workers and leaders in Kamareddy in Nizamabad district for protesting against anti-people policies of TRS government.
Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Mohd Shabbir Ali on Saturday decried that the TRS government has been using police force indiscriminately to repress the Opposition. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had ordered the arrest of hundreds of Congress workers and leaders in Kamareddy in Nizamabad district for protesting against anti-people policies of TRS government.
Addressing a media conference at Gandhi Bhavan along with Congress party leader Mallu Ravi, Shabbir Ali said the TRS chief had wooed the TJAC during the Telangana agitation and now he has been gunning for TJAC Chairman Kodandaram and his followers.
'TJAC is a creation of TRS used to clandestinely get endorsements of all political parties including the TDP and the Congress for bifurcation of State . 'After formation of Telangana, KCR and TRS had not only denied any share in power to the TJAC but also making all efforts to split the TJAC and eliminate Kodandaram ,' he alleged .
He blasted KCR for utilising the services of former TDP leader Nethu Venu to attack TJAC. ' Nethu Venu, as TDP leader had opposed TRS and TJAC and now as TRS leader from Nizamabad district once again attacking TJAC,' he regretted, He said the Congress workers from Kamareddy were arrested and taken to Ramareddy Police Station and again to Bibipet police Station without any reasons, he said .
