Four-year-old girl crushed under school bus
In a tragic incident, a four-year-old girl, Manasa, died after she came under the wheels of a school bus at Rajendranagar on Saturday morning. It is the second such incident in less than a week. A two-year-old toddler, Chaitra, was run over by a car at Saidabad on August 7.
HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident, a four-year-old girl, Manasa, died after she came under the wheels of a school bus at Rajendranagar on Saturday morning. It is the second such incident in less than a week. A two-year-old toddler, Chaitra, was run over by a car at Saidabad on August 7.
Around 9 am, Manasa, a resident of AVS Reddy Colony in Rajendranagar, was playing near her house. A bus belonging to Adarsha Vidyalaya High School of Rajendranagar reached the colony to pick up students.
"The kid was not a student. She was simply playing on the side of the road. She came under the wheels, while the bus driver was reversing the vehicle," Rajendranagar inspector V Umender said.Manasa was immediately rushed to Osmania General Hospital by her parents and local residents, but was declared brought dead. She had suffered head injuries, police said.
