Hyderabad: Extending his greetings to the people of two Telugu States here on Sunday, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan said the festival of Janmashtami reminds the eternal message of Lord Krishna given to all humanity through Bhagavad Gita for its spiritual progress.

In a Raj Bhavan press release, the Governor said the holy festival also known as Gokulashtami, should be celebrated with all its devotion, pomp and solemnity. He said this auspicious occasion is a harbinger of inner peace, material prosperity and should strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, amity, and harmony among the people.
