KTR urges Centre to release funds for IT Investment Region
Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao has urged the Centre to release funds for Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) and wrote a letter to Union Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad regarding the delay of the promised funds.

KTR speaking to the media on Sunday in Hyderabad said that the government had submitted the proposal to the Centre in 2010 for development of ITIR and the project was sanctioned in September 2013.
Subsequently, a project report was submitted to the centre seeking Rs 4,863 crore for the creation of external physical infrastructure and Rs 3,275 crore was approved.
However, since the funds were not released, KTR urged the Centre to expedite sanction of funds for various infrastructure projects under the ITIR.
