Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to honour officials from the All India services who are doing an excellent job of taking the people’s oriented programmes of the government to the people, on the occasion of the Independence Day.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to honour officials from the All India services who are doing an excellent job of taking the people’s oriented programmes of the government to the people, on the occasion of the Independence Day.

"The Chief Minister has heralded a new tradition of honouring the All India services officers in the State," said a press release from the CM's Office on Monday.

Four officers are selected this time. Senior IAS officer, Vakati Karuna is selected for the way she successfully implemented the KCR Kits programme and administering the government hospitals quite efficiently. The other awardees include senior IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar for efficiently running the social welfare residential schools and mentoring several students in their career. Another senior IPS officer CV Anand has been selected for increasing the efficiency of the Public Distribution System and IFS officer MD Shafiullah has been picked for successfully running the Minority Residential Schools.

The Chief Minister will felicitate these four outstanding officers on Tuesday at the Golconda Fort on the occasion of the Independence Day celebrations.
