Telangana BJP President Dr. K. Lakshman said that the TRS Government has failed on all fronts.
Hyderabad: Telangana BJP President Dr. K. Lakshman said that the TRS Government has failed on all fronts.
Speaking after unfurling national flag at State BJP office at Nampally on Tuesday, Lakshman said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has failed to provide social justice which was expected with the formation of Telangana State. He alleged that the Chief Minister was suppressing the weaker sections, especially Dalits in the State.
Lakshman also pointed out that erstwhile Hyderabad State was under still under Nizam's regime when India gained freedom on August 15, 1947. He said it was due to the intervention of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel that Hyderabad was merged with Indian Union on 17th September, 1948. He demanded that the State Government celebrate the Hyderabad Liberation Day at the official level. He said that the BJP would organise programmes in all villages across Telangana State to press for this demand.
Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, in his speeches, listed out various schemes being implemented by the BJP-led NDA Government at the centre.
BJP floor leader G. Kishan Reddy, National General Secretary Muralidhar Rao, ex-minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy and other leaders were also present.
