Over 27,000 women registered for KCR Kits: Minister

Hyderabad: Health Minister Dr. Lakshma Reddy said that the 'KCR Kits' scheme was a great hit with more number of pregnant women opting for institutional deliveries.
Speaking to media persons in Mahabubnagar on Tuesday, the minister said a total of 3,045 women delivered babies in government hospitals since the introduction of scheme. He said all of them were provided with KCR Kits. He said so far, as many as 27,593 pregnant women have registered their names for the scheme.
The minister also informed that the State Government was modernising all government hospitals in the State including those in Mahabubnagar district.
