Hyderabad: Putting an end to all speculations about changes in leadership of Congress party in State, AICC Secretary and Inchare of Telangana Congress Affairs R.C. Khuntia has announced that present TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy will continue on the post till 2019 elections.

In an informal chat with media persons here on Monday, Khuntia said that the Congress party would face next Assembly elections in Telangana State under the leadership of Uttam Kumar Reddy. He said AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi was extremely happy with the performance of Uttam Kumar Reddy and therefore, he has given him full authority and powers to run the party in the State. He said stern action would be taken against those opposing party's decision and policies. However, he said there would massive changes in the party organisations. He said that the TPCC Coordination Committee would be completely revamped.

Khuntia said he would visit all mandals in the State to strengthen the party. He said while there would be no changes in the posts, the party would also ensure that no one is felt ignored or neglected.
