GHMC ahead in twitter, FB followers
Followers of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) twitter handle have increased leaving Bengaluru Municipal Corporation and many other cities behind. As many as 20,000 people are now following the @GHMCOnline twitter handle
Hyderabad: Followers of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) twitter handle have increased leaving Bengaluru Municipal Corporation and many other cities behind. As many as 20,000 people are now following the @GHMCOnline twitter handle.
GHMC officials claim that the GHMC online presence was enhanced in order to improve the services and prompt response to the grievances of people. Bengaluru Municipal Corporation has 10,055 followers whereas Pune Corporation has 6,502, and Surat Corporation has 1,812 only.
Similarly, Bhuvaneshwar has 1,274 followers, Vishakhapatnam has 793 followers and Warangal has 448 followers. GHMC officials claim that it was part of ‘Ease of Doing Business’ initiative of the State government. The Facebook page of the GHMC has 38,934 followers.
However, Ahmadabad Corporation of Gujarat has 45,402 FB followers, Bengaluru FB has only 956 followers. New Delhi facebook page has 23,160 and Vishakhapatnam has 12,494 followers.
