On the sidelines of At Home hosted on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations, Governor E S L Narasimhan on Tuesday held an in camera meeting with Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan at Raj Bhavan.

Hyderabad: On the sidelines of At Home hosted on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations, Governor E S L Narasimhan on Tuesday held an in camera meeting with Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan at Raj Bhavan.

Sources said the meeting the Governor held with TS and AP Chief Ministers lasted for more than two hours. They discussed the issues ranging from water sharing disputes between two State, long pending inter-state matters like division of corporations and asset distribution between the two States.

The two Chief Ministers also discussed the progress made at the Minister-level meetings held in the past on asset distribution between two States, officials said. The Governor is likely to hold a crucial meeting with the representatives of the two States soon to resolve the contentious issues.

The Governor had a separate meeting with Pawan Kalyan for more than 30 minutes. The Governor enquired about the political developments that are taking place in Andhra Pradesh and discussed with the film actor on his future political plans.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Pawan Kalyan said he would take a plunge into active politics from October this year. He is also planning to visit Andhra Pradesh to assess the situation in the State.
