After taking up several initiatives under the guidance of Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao to control open defecation, the corporators of all 150 wards have said that their wards are open defecation free.
As a part of the initiative, the civic body constructed pre-fabricated toilets in slums apart from the individual and community ones while persuading about 295 petrol pumps, 390 hotels and restaurant owners to open the toilets at their respective sites for general public use by the general public.
