To be developed as an education hub: T Harish Rao
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao assured that he would use everything in his power to transform Siddipet into an educational hub. He said the integrity of Siddipet Government Degree College as an educational centre would be upheld for the generations to come.

Speaking at the Government Degree College alumni meet held here on Tuesday, he said the State government was doing its best to promote public sector institutions including, government schools and colleges as a counter to private educational institutions.
He said this is the reason why people are showing more interest in joining their children in government institutes like Gurukul residential schools, which the State government has been establishing all over the State after the formation of Telangana.
The Minister said the government was reforming education sector by improving the infrastructure and facilities in schools and colleges.
“P V Rajeshwar Rao and E Guruva Reddy, the founders of this great institution will go into the books of history as people who laid foundation for Siddipet’s development in the field of education,” he added. He called upon the alumni of the institution to ensure it gets A++ grade in the oncoming NAAC evaluation panel’s visit scheduled on August 30 and 31.
