Irrigation Minister:SRSP phase -2 to be completed by June 2018

Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday instructed officials to complete the Sriram Sagar second phase project works by June next year. He reviewed the progress in the works at Sriram Sagar phase-2 and Tupakulagudem projects.
Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday instructed officials to complete the Sriram Sagar second phase project works by June next year. He reviewed the progress in the works at Sriram Sagar phase-2 and Tupakulagudem projects.
The Minister said water would be pumped through Devadula project after completion of the Tupakulagudem works.
It will help the stabilisation of 8 lakh acres. The SRSP second phase will help to provide irrigation facility to 4 lakh acres in the old Nalgonda, Khammam and Warangal districts.
The government also committed to provide irrigation facility in Bhupalpally, Mahbubabad and Dornakal Assembly constituencies under the SRSP project in the future, Harish said.
