Jagapathi Babu vows to drag Lodha Builders to court

Hyderabad: Tollywood actor Jagapati Babu, who stays at the popular Lodha Apartments in Kukatpally, has alleged that several buyers of flats were taken for a ride by the unscrupulous builder.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Jagapati Babu said while the Lodha Apartments was a gated community, the owner was illegally seeking to merge the abutting apartments into his, thus violating rules and making money.

This has not gone down well with the residents of the gated community because they would have to compromise with the security and quality of living within the community, he added.

Alleging that the Lodha Builders constructed the apartments in violation of the GHMC rules, Jagapati Babu said many affluent people bought the apartments believing the claims of the builder that they would construct ultra-modern posh apartments on the ten-and-a-half acres of land in Kukatpally, exclusively for the celebrities.

However, shockingly, the Lodha Builders constructed Meridian Apartments on the three acres of land out of the 10.5 acres allocated for the rich people, he lamented. He also alleged that the builders have ruined their privacy by constructing a compound wall in utter violation of GHMC Building Rules.

Jagapati Babu said they would lodge a complaint with the GHMC Commissioner and fight till they got justice.
Stating that the Lodha Builders have taken them for a ride by constructing their apartments on only 7.5 acres out of the proclaimed 10.5 acres, Jagapathi Babu said they would knock the doors of court if the GHMC authorities ignore their complaint.
