She Teams get 150 patrolling scooters
Hero Honda Motors donated more than 150 patrolling scooters to the city police’ ‘She Teams’ here on Thursday. The scooters are equipped with sirens, traffic lights and public-address Systems.
Hyderabad: Hero Honda Motors donated more than 150 patrolling scooters to the city police’ ‘She Teams’ here on Thursday. The scooters are equipped with sirens, traffic lights and public-address Systems.
Vijay Sethi, CIO and Head-CSR, Hero Motor Corp, handed over 70 scooters to Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy, 50 scooters to Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya and 30 scooters to Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat.
According to Sethi, the scooters will empower women police personnel and allow them to conveniently perform their patrolling duties.
The other dignitaries who attended the programme included Hero Honda Motor Corp city CSR head Kamal Karamchandani, Additional Commissioner of Police Swati Lakra and other police city police officials.
Karamchandani said that Hero Honda would ensure that whenever needed, it would extend help to the police and the government when it came to a social cause.
Mahender Reddy highlighted the growing importance and need of ‘She Teams’ to eradicate crimes against women in city and explained the success the ‘She Teams’ had achieved in curbing crimes against women.
