Asaduddin seeks BC certificates to Yadavas
Majlis e- Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday demanded the BC Commission to intervene in the matter of official apathy of Revenue department in issuing caste certificates to few BC castes in the city. In a representation to the BC Commission, he said the candidates of Yadav community were denied of caste certificate (BC-D category) by the officials from the year 2009.
Hyderabad: Majlis e- Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday demanded the BC Commission to intervene in the matter of official apathy of Revenue department in issuing caste certificates to few BC castes in the city. In a representation to the BC Commission, he said the candidates of Yadav community were denied of caste certificate (BC-D category) by the officials from the year 2009.
Asaduddin met BC Commission Chairman B S Ramulu and other members and complained to them about the injustice done to the community just because they (Yadav) were Hindi Yadavas. He said that there were several representations in this regard and a GO 1793 Education dated September 25, 1970 for BC-D Yadavas was issued. But the issue was thrown to the back burner.
He argued that Rajakas and Gangaputras were given caste certificates though they were non-Telugu speaking in united Andhra Pradesh; but the same is denied to Yadav community on the same ground that they are non-Telugu speaking. He requested the Commission to look into the matter and do justice to the Yadav community.
