Hyderabad: The Union Government has come forward to extend all its support and cooperation to State government for successfully conducting the proposed ‘Comprehensive Land survey and Settlement’ taken up by the State recently.

Hukum Singh Meena, Joint Secretary, Department of Land Resources at the centre on Friday called on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the latter’s camp office – Pragathi Bahvan here. The official said the state government’s initiative would be a role model for other States. He asserted the conduct of such survey all over the country.

The official said 25 agencies recognised by the Centre are willing to extend help the State in conducting the survey and their help can be taken. Meena assured that the centre would extend all the financial and technical help to the survey when the DPR (Detailed Project Report) is submitted.

KCR explained the official that the survey would be done with village as a unit. Officials would stay in the villages and survey is conducted and updates the record online. New passbooks would be given after the rectification of the records.
