Hyderabad: Government Chief Whip (Legislative Council) Pathuri Sudhakar Reddy on Friday said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was taking historical steps for the welfare of Reddys in the State.

The Government Chief Whip participated in the preparatory gathering of the public meeting to be held on August 22 in Budvel, where the Chief Minister would lay foundation stone for the Reddy hostel building.

Sudhakar Reddy said no Chief Minister in the undivided Andhra Pradesh had thought about the welfare of the Reddys the way Chandrashekar Rao thought. Thanking the Chief Minister for sanctioning 10 acres land in Budvel and also for allocating Rs 10 crore, Sudhakar Reddy said the Reddy community should take the responsibility of felicitating the Chief Minister in a big way.

Sudhakar Reddy appealed to the people from the Reddy community to attend the public meeting in large numbers. He said some people were playing cheap politics in the name of caste but, K Chandrashekar Rao had been trying to ensure all castes have cordial relations with commitment.

It is a proud moment to lay foundation stone for Reddy hostel on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Raja Bahadur Venkatrami Reddy.
