SCR imposes 16 lakh fine on erring catering units

The South Central Railway (SCR) undertook an intensive drive on catering units and imposed a fine of Rs 16, 34,791 on various establishments which were found to be irregular. These special drives and checks were conducted from July 26 to August 16.
Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) undertook an intensive drive on catering units and imposed a fine of Rs 16, 34,791 on various establishments which were found to be irregular. These special drives and checks were conducted from July 26 to August 16.
During the drive, 397 static units were checked and a fine of Rs 5, 21, 190 was imposed, 199 pantry cars were checked and a fine of Rs 3, 83, 595 was imposed and 934 cases were booked on unauthorised hawkers. A fine of Rs 7, 30, 006 was imposed on unauthorised vendors found selling at the Station and in various trains.
