Teachers caught in transfer tussle
In spite of instructions from the higher authorities, Warangal Urban District Education officials have not been giving orders of posting (transfer) to the teachers who participated in transfer counselling in 2015 and become eligible to get transfer.
Dist officials not issuing transfer posting orders to teachers, it is alleged
Hyderabad: In spite of instructions from the higher authorities, Warangal Urban District Education officials have not been giving orders of posting (transfer) to the teachers who participated in transfer counselling in 2015 and become eligible to get transfer.
Consequently, a teacher of the district V Chittaranjan has been kept in waiting and he was denied salary for the past two years. The officials have not been heeding to the instructions of SC Commission and higherups of Education department.
Chittaranjan told The Hans India hat he had applied for transfer in 2015 during the counselling for transfers. He was given 37th position in the list of teachers eligible for transfers. However, the officials had later changed the position and gave him 145th position denying him the opportunity to get transfer orders.
After several appeals, he was given posting in the present Warangal Urban district. But the district officials have not given posting orders. Chittaranjan made an appeal to the Commissioner of School Education who in turn instructed the DEO to take action.
The teacher also knocked the doors of SC Commission alleging discrimination and Warangal Urban officials were told to take action. Chittaranjan said that even these directions were not implemented.
Speaking on the issue Warangal Urban District Educational Officer Srinivasa Chary said that Chittaranjan had opted for transfer to Jagityal and Warangal Urban officials have nothing to do with the issue. It was the responsibility of the old Karimnagar district officials to act in this issue. He said that during the 2015 counselling, Chittaranjan did not furnish working details of his wife who is also a teacher and already availed the facility.
Chittarajan has been claiming the facilities provided in the GO 92 and the GO would not apply to him. He said that he has not received any notice from the SC Commission and if School Education Commissioner directs for giving posting, he would oblige.
