Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party Deputy leader T Jeevan Reddy has alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao brought Comprehensive Land Survey issue only to mislead the people from farmers’ problems. He said that there was no need to give Rs 8,000 per acre if the government provides remunerative price to the agriculture produce of the farmers.
The CLP Deputy Leader has said that there is no surveyor in every mandal. The Comprehensive Land Survey will also remain as Comprehensive Family Survey. “Nothing will happen to the farmers with the Comprehensive Land Survey as transactions go on continuously”, he opined.
Addressing the media at Assembly Media Hall here on Saturday, Jeevan Reddy said that the TRS government was not providing remunerative price to the produce of farmers and has been blaming the Centre in this regard. ``KCR is the one and only Chief Minister, who didn’t attend State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) meeting,’’ Jeevan alleged.
Farmers are not in a position to get bank loans though the kharif season started two months ago. Due to Chief Minister’s negligent attitude, the bankers had not yet conducted district level bankers’ committee meetings for kharif and rabi seasons, he complained.
The loan waiver scheme was not yet completed, the Congress leader said and asked State government to explain what was State government doing when the central government failed to provide minimum support price to farmers. The State government was not providing bonus as the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh State government was giving bonus to some crops, he said and demanded the State government to support the farmers by announcing bonus to agriculture produce.
