The Sadan would be build with an estimated cost of Rs one crore. Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish Reddy said the Brahmin community suffered a lot in the United Andhra Pradesh.

Witnessing the humiliation faced by the Brahmins’ during the Godavari pushkaralu held in 2013 and discrimination shown to the temples of this region, The Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao constituted Brahmin Sankshema Parishad in the State with a fund of Rs 100 crore for the development of the community in all aspects, he added.

Plans are afoot to establish a traditional educational institute in Suryapet for boys and girls of the community with the aid of seer of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Brahmin Sankshema Parishad State Chairman Ramana Chary said.

As a part of community development on the directions of government, Brahmin Parishad decided to provide subsidies of Rs 30 lakh to Rs 1 crore worth projects, Rs 5 lakh subsidy to Rs 10 lakh worth projects and Rs 3.75 lakh to Rs 5 lakh worth projects. He advised the interested to avail the opportunity.

Parishad had been providing financial assistance to poor brahmins during the marriages of girl child and Rs 11,116 at Upanayanam of boys. Parishad is also planning to provide pakka houses to purohits in the State.

District Collector Surendra Mohan, Muncipal Chairperson Ganduri Pravallika, MLC Puranam Satish Brahamin Parishad members Chakilam Anil Kumar, Ram Mohan Gopal Sharma, Sheashagiri Rao and others participated in the programme.
