Hyderabad: Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA), in association with ‘360 Learnings’ and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) has launched a drug awareness e-learning programme on Saturday at Press Club.

The programme is intended to educate youth and students about the ill effects of drugs on health and on the entire career in the long run. The students of the JNTUH and all its affiliated colleges will enrol in this e-learning programme.

He said it was not right to portray IT employees as drug addicts. There were 4.25 lakh workforce in Hyderabad. The fact that a few of them were using drugs did not mean that the entire workforce hooked to the drugs.

JNTUH-UIIC director Ch Venkata Ramana Reddy said TITA and 360 Learnings had come up with the idea of e-learning for educating the students.

He said, “We will ask our students to enrol in this e-learning programme to be well informed and to be safe from the dangerous addiction.”
