Hyderabad: Cyberabad police on Saturday busted a sex racket being organised in the guise of spas and massage parlours. The police claimed to have conducted raids on 12 centres and rescued 65 women, who were brought from Thailand. The flesh trade was organised under Madhapur, Raidurgam and Gachibowli police station limits. The police said the prime accused was arrested.
The raids were conducted on spas and massage centres on Saturday night. These centres were trafficking in women and organising flesh trade in commercial and residential areas close to Hi-tech City. The police seized semen-stained diapers, condoms and some other articles from the centres. Apart from it, the police had found swiping machines, laptops, mobile phones and Rs 3.4 lakh cash. Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya said the raids had revealed startling facts. The organisers had been trafficking in women by procuring them from Thailand, North-Eastern States, besides local girls, for flesh trade. These centres were virtually brothels, he said.
As many as 34 women found on the premises of these centre are Thailand national, while rest were from North-East States. Nine of them hailed from city, he said.
The investigation revealed that Dasari Siddartha, 32, Owner of Tripad Vernus & Healing Services Pvt. Ltd and resident of Nandagiri Hills, Banjara Hills, operated these spas and massage parlours. The prime accused used to earn Rs 90 lakh a month, the police Commissioner said. His business partners are Venkatareddy and Balasubramanyam and they are still at large. “These spas were found to be charging Rs 9,000 from the individual customer,” he said.
