With the departure of last flight from Hyderabad to Jeddah, carrying 449 pilgrims, all clad in white unsewn cloths, presenting an impressive look of human equality,  the Haj Camp 2017 came to a successful conclusion.

Hyderabad: With the departure of last flight from Hyderabad to Jeddah, carrying 449 pilgrims, all clad in white unsewn cloths, presenting an impressive look of human equality, the Haj Camp 2017 came to a successful conclusion.

Telangana State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor said that altogether 6,347 pilgrims were sent from Haj Camp for the holy city of Makkah to perform Haj this year. They include 3,445 pilgrims from Telangana, 2096 from Andhra Pradesh and 806 from Karnataka state. Besides this, a few pilgrims selected under Waiting List will leave on August 26, from Mumbai.

Altogether 28 Departments and organisations were involved in the Haj operations. A large number of volunteers rendered service during the Haj Camp. Prof. S. A. Shukoor expressed his gratitude to all of them for their cooperation for the successful conduct of the Haj Camp.

Charminar MLA Ahmed Pasha Qadri and Minorities Welfare Department Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel flagged off the last batch at Haj House earlier in the morning.
