Hyderabad: Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) in collaboration with Telangana Police Department has conducted a comprehensive training program on digital media, cyber security to the new police recruits.

Telangana Yuva Nirmaan volunteers trained the 8th Battalion of the recruits on cyber security, digital media and other nitty-gritty of the technology applications. The recruits were also given training on Drug Abuse through e-learning program that was recently launched by TITA.

Commandant H Satyanarayana Rao on this occasion said that it has become inevitable for all the government departments to be well versed in digital media technologies.

Appreciating the efforts of TITA on digital literacy programs he said that such training would be helpful for cops to tackle situations while on duty and give them a detailed idea of the digital processes.

Assistant Commandant B Chandrashekhar on this occasion said that cops must be aware of the cyber security since there has been an increase in the cybercrimes. Training on the technology will definitely help the department to trouble shoot any cybercrime. He said that more such service would be needed for the department in coming days and cops must be aware of technology updates every year.

TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala said that cyber security was the most important for all the government departments now especially police department. He said that Telangana needs more number of cyber security experts.

He opined that there was a need that every cop must be aware of digital media, cyber security and related technologies and each police station must have one such expert in the future.

He appreciated that cyber security experts of police department have successfully tackled the menace of Wannacry cyberattack occurred recently. He expressed hope that all the recruits would work for the new Telangana and its prosperity with more expertise and excellence. The trained recruits have carried out a rally after the daylong workshop on digital media.
