Hyderabad: The Sub-Registrar at registration office has been denying for the registration of Uppal Bhagath plots. In the wake of this, the land owners of Uppal Bhagath plots who lost their land under Musi Conservation and River Front Development will have to wait for some more days for the registration of plots.

According to HMDA official, the Sub- Registrar has approached Inspector General of Registrations seeking to guide him whether to take up the registration or not. According to GO 36 dated 22 January 2011 directing HMDA to allot 1000 square yards developed land as compensation for every one acre land acquired.

When asked about the subject, a senior HMDA official told The Hans India that the HMDA is ready to take up registration, but the Sub- Registrar is not registering the plots. He said that the registration fees of Uppal Bhagath plots are paid by HMDA; yet the Sub- Registrar refused to register.

Official from Estate department of HMDA said that the Sub- Registrar has denied registration of plots under GO 36. He said that the officials in registration office are confused and do not know the amount of stamp duty.

Meanwhile, the HMDA officials distributed around 1,410 plots divided in to 2, 000 square yards, 1,000 square yards, 600 square yards, 500 square yards, 300 square yards, 250 square yards, 200 square yards, 150 square yards and the same would be distributed to 1,066 people.

In the month of July, Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister K Taraka Rama Rao directed the HMDA officials to take up registration of plots with a cost of Rs 35 crore.
