Hadda was accompanied by Mr. Gabriel Hons-Olivier, Public Affairs Officer, and Salil Kadir, Advisor, Public Affairs with the Consulate General. This was her first visit to MANUU after she took charge as Consul General, Hyderabad, in October last year.

Dr Parvaiz briefed Hadda on the role of University and the challenges it is facing. He also identified areas in which the US Consulate General could be of help to the students. He informed her about the Bridge Course introduced by the University last year through which graduates from Madrassas (religious schools) could get admission in MANUU. He said one of the important subjects which are being offered to Bridge Course students is English language learning.

Hons-Olivier said that he was hopeful of collaboration between the Consulate General and MANUU in English language coaching programme.

Following the meeting with the Vice-Chancellor, Catherine interacted with Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A. Ravindranath, Dean Academics, Prof. Saneem Fatima, Joint Dean, Academics and Prof. Amir Ullah Khan, Director, CSE Academy and the students who are being prepared by MANUU for the elite Central Services Examination. She told the students that her country has not taken any decision on the issue of H1 visa. The Consul General wished them the best in their career.
