GHMC completes restoration works at Indira Park
Cleaning and de-siltation works at Indira Park boating pond have been completed as per the instructions provided by the city Mayor Bonthu Rammohan during his inspection of the park last year.
Hyderabad: Cleaning and de-siltation works at Indira Park boating pond have been completed as per the instructions provided by the city Mayor Bonthu Rammohan during his inspection of the park last year.
The restoration works started in June last year, for which Rs 25 lakh was sanctioned by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy.
The railing and flooring works in and around the pond have been taken up further to add beauty to the park, which has now been established by the clean lake.
The Mayor who had visited the park recently for another inspection witnessed the changes made to the boating pond and directed the officials to replace the existing boats with new ones with modern technology.
He also visited a well at Indira Park where around 20 tortoises and various types of fishes were expected.
