Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao called upon the legislators to ensure that they are available to the people in their respective constituencies and address their grievances.

Addressing the TRS Legislature Party meeting here on Saturday, the Chief Minister has said it is important to win the good will of the people.

All surveys so far indicated that TRS was certain to come back to power in 2019 elections; and he, as the head of the party, would take the responsibility of getting the MPs and MLAs elected again.

But on their part, they should see that people retain confidence in the party. He told them that barring four or five constituencies, the party would win all other existing seats.

The meeting was convened to discuss the Action Plan for effective implementation of the proposed land survey and settlement programme scheduled to begin in September.

Sources said that the Chief Minister told the members to actively participate in the land survey programme as the outcome of it will have great impact on the farmers as the government had promised to give an incentive of Rs 4000 per acre for kharif and rabi seasons. He also wanted them to ensure that all schemes taken up by the government are completed before the end of 2018.

He directed the MLAs to monitor closely the Mission Bhagiratha and Two Bed Room housing programme and achieve the targets within the stipulated time.
