As a part of extensive scientific study, Telangana State Backward Classes Commission on Monday conducted a workshop for re-classification of State Backward classes list and identification of nomadic and semi nomadic tribes to  provide them social, educational and employment opportunities.

Hyderabad: As a part of extensive scientific study, Telangana State Backward Classes Commission on Monday conducted a workshop for re-classification of State Backward classes list and identification of nomadic and semi nomadic tribes to provide them social, educational and employment opportunities.

The workshop was held at Marri Chenna Reddy HRD Institute at Jubilee Hills today. BC Commission Chairman B.S. Ramulu, Members Dr. Vakulabharanam Krishna Mohan Rao, Dr. Anjaneya Goud and Juluru Gowri Shankar, Heads of different research organization, experts, socialists, economists and anthropologists and psychologists from different universities participated in the workshop. This workshop was coordinated by Special Officer BC Commission Vanamala Chandrasekhar.

Different issues regarding implementation of BC welfare schemes were discussed in the workshop. Kaka Kalelkar Commission, Mandal Commission, DNT Commissions like Balakrisha Renake, Idate Commission, Anantharaman, Muralidhar Rao, Justice Dalwa Subramanyam (United AP), Sathyanadan, Justice Janadhanam (Tamilnadu), Hauvnur, O.Chinnappareddy, Venkata Swamy commissions (Karnataka), Kumara Pillaiah, Damodaran Commission, etc., reports and recommendations were discussed in detailed.

Southern state Director of ICSSR Prof. Chenna Basavaiah, CSS Director Prof. Galab, Osmania University Retd. Dean of Social Science Prof. K. Srinivasulu, JNTU New Delhi Retd Prof. I.Thirumali, Prof. A.Satyanarayana, Prof. G.Satyanarayana, Dr. Thriloke Thakur, Prof. E.Vekatesu and Prof. Dwarakanath also participated in the workshop.
